I highly recommend Big Al’s Painting to anyone who wants a professional painting job. We had cracks in our ceiling drywall that needed to be repaired and painted. The job was professionally done, you can’t tell that the cracks were ever there. Cleanup after the job was meticulous, and I was thoroughly impressed by their attention to detail. The job took 3 days and Al always let us know when he would arrive to start work, always arrived on time, which meant a lot. Communication was excellent throughout the entire job. We’re located in Wells, and I recommend anyone looking for a painter to contact Al, you won’t be disappointed.

Working with Big Al’s Painting was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Al, and later Noah, were tremendous to work with from the initial quote through project completion. Al was incredibly communicative throughout the scheduling process and even managed to fit us in just before the holiday, which we truly appreciated. His quote was detailed, transparent, and flexible, allowing us to take on the portion of the project we were ready for. We have several rooms we plan to paint over time, but this first project focused on a large guest room. The quality of work was exceptional. Two of the walls had been in rough shape due to old wallpaper removal, and Al and Noah repaired and painted them so well that the room now looks brand new. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship really shows. We are so thankful we chose Big Al’s Painting. Big Al’s Painting is a true family company! Al owns his business and leads his team from the front, his daughter and son as well as several professionals work alongside him. Al was willing to work with us on scope of work & price, which really made the difference for us as we undertake our large scale 1890s farmhouse renovation in North Berwick. Every face of our 2000square foot home was scraped and painted, including foundation & decorative historic shingles handled with care. Additionally, Al’s skilled carpenter Ryan was able to remedy several areas of rot efficiently. The team were tidy, thorough, and made quick work of a job that would have taken us ages to do on our own. The building now sparkles from the outside & reflects the high level of work Big Al’s Painting executed for all to see. We are so grateful to the team & had so much fun with them on the job site, we were sad to see them go! The old expression you get what you pay for rings true with Big Al and his crew. He wasn’t the least expensive quote but he came through in all departments: attention to detail, quality materials, competent, reliable and respectful employees, and value. In a day and age where it hard to find reliable and competent contractors, I’d highly recommend their services to get the job done right.
